Vendor Statistics – YTD

As of 8:00 a.m. today, the City of Sturgis has issued 656 Temporary Vending Permits. This number compares to 812 in 2015 and 607 in 2014.

General Information

• Mayor’s Ride Grand Marshal, Ben Bostrom will be our special guest at the 1:00 press conference.

• Main Street as well as several side streets in the downtown area are now closed to regular traffic. Link to traffic map http://www.sturgis-sd.gov/DocumentCenter/View/6797.

• Main Street Photo Towers are open 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. daily.

• Daily press conferences will take place at 1:00 in the Sturgis Community Center located at 1401 Lazelle. You can usually find parking on the north side of the building near the tennis courts or across the street along the creek.

• Live bands will take the stage at the Harley-Davidson Rally Point from noon until 3 and 4 until 7.

• Harley-Davidson is open for demo rides and numerous other exhibits on the Community Center lot at 1401 Lazelle.

Tomorrow at the Rally (Sunday, August 7)

The Good Ride will open registration at 8:00 and the ride leaves at 10:00 from Sturgis Indian – 2130 Main Street. Freestyle motocross icon and RCH Racing co-owner Carey Hart will host the Good Ride – a series of V-Twin, on-road charity motorcycle rides. Proceeds from each Good Ride benefits charitable causes in the local area where the ride takes place. Proceeds from the Sturgis Good Ride will benefit the Sturgis Brown High School welding program.
