S&S now offers premium quality service oil pumps and cam support plates for 1999-later Harley-Davidson big twins. Replacing the cam support plate along with the oil pump makes sense to eliminate harmful contaminants that may be lurking in the oil passages. S&S says, “When a stock oil pump fails it’s typically because of metal particles and debris or excessive pinion shaft run-out. Either way debris is present.” S&S high quality forged oil pumps and cam support plates are available for 1999-’06 and 2007-up models.  They’re compatible with chain drive and S&S gear drive camshafts.
