Roland Sands Custom Harley-Davidson Road Glide Performance Bagger
The work by the Roland Sands Design crew always intrigues me (as I am sure it does anyone attracted to even the teaser image of this post). Like a surrealist painting, there is always something interesting to find on an RSD build. From the tip of a BMW HP4 fender to a custom gold anodized nose cone on the air filter, the devil is in the details of a machine from the Los Alamitos-based garage. It’s no wonder that the likes of Steve Caballero, Brad Pitt, and Anthony Kiedis go to Roland Sands Design for custom builds.
Yet another Roland Sands build that everyone is bound to flock to.

This Harley-Davidson Road Glide that is also featured on the RSD blog focuses on performance with looks to match. With GP roadracing background in his veins you better bet that Roland won’t let this Road Glide turn and burn without any performance bits. Internals were left relatively untouched, but go-fast parts include the RSD Black Ops Turbine Air Cleaner and Vance & Hines Pro pipes. Other improvements include replacement of the rear fender, saddlebags, and side panels with Hofmann Designs carbon fiber to lighten the load. The Midas touch was restrained ever-so-perfectly with hints of gold on the anodized nose cone of the air filter, anodized RSD Clarity slave cylinder, RSD Clarity derby cover, turn signals, handlebar, RSD Clarity cam/timing cover, and anodized Trac Dynamics swingarm. The carbon bodywork and stock Harley-Davidson paint with an RSD vinyl decal kit also make this performance bagger another feather in the RSD cap.
For the love of carbon.

According to the RSD blog, the decal kit has “SHNC” logos (on the bags) and a “[email protected]#K Luck” badge that is “not a tempt at fate but a reminder to always be prepared.”

If this custom revs in the forest, does it make a sound? You’re damned right it does.
