Vinnie from Queens, New York, wanted to show off his pride and joy, his ’04 Softail Standard. The old Softie has Vance & Hines Long Shot pipes, a Centerline polished rear wheel, a Harley inverted frontend, drag bars, a chromed dash console, Andrews cams, and a LePera Solo seat. Even though the bike is close to 10 years old, we’d say Vinnie has done a fine job of keeping it looking fresh and clean.
Wayne Thom from Albany, Georgia, has put a lot of time, money, and hard work into turning his ’99 FXDWG into his ideal two-wheeled hot rod. Over the years Wayne has completely torn the bike down and added 3 inches of stretch to the backbone, raked the neck out an additional 9 degrees and added another 6 degrees with new triple trees. He also replaced the stock engine with a Screamin’ Eagle 110ci powerplant, and beefed up the primary with a Primo open beltdrive. The bike shines in the sun with its chrome PM wheels, chrome forward controls and hydraulic clutch and hand controls, and stainless steel clutch and brake hard lines. But what Wayne is most proud of is the 240mm wheel he was able to stuff in the rear with the custom swingarm and rear fender that he made.
Fast Fat Boy
Hey HOT BIKE, my name is Curtis Smith, I live in Sheridan, Oregon, and I wanted everyone to see my ’98 Fat Boy I’ve been working on. The powerplant is a 124ci S&S; engine with a Rivera Primo open beltdrive bolted to the left side. I added RC Components’ Savage wheels with matching rotors and the tins are a West Coast Choppers rear fender, Jim Nasi front fender, with a stretched tank from Custom Chrome. On top of the tank is a Milwaukee Iron steel dash, and in the rear fender is a flush-mounted skull eyes brake light. My fiancé’s oldest son, Chris Marshall, of Marshall’s Auto Body and Fabrication in McMinnville, Oregon, laid down the gloss black paint with real fire flames and skull on the front fender.
