Harley-Davidson’s Dark Custom campaign will be airing its United By Independents campaign, a 60-second advertisement spawned from Harold Chase’s vision to follow 16 Harley riders (on Twitter at #StereotypicalHarley), originally belonging to the H-D Facebook app, “Fan Machine.” The spot will air on the hit television show, Sons of Anarchys season five premiere tonight at 6pm (PST) 9pm (ET) on FX.
“United by Independents is as much a rally cry to discover your ultimate self-expression and personal freedom as it is a celebration of fans and riders that continue to defy stereotypes of what it means to be a Harley-Davidson enthusiast,” said Dino Bernacchi, Harley-Davidson Director of North American Marketing Operations. “The campaign is cast entirely through social media with real riders from across the globe and from all walks of life who are united by their shared passion for the brand and their love of riding.”
By entering the promotion, one grand prizewinner will win a personally customized Harley-Davidson Street Bob motorcycle and a trip to Los Angeles to visit the set of Sons of Anarchy and hang out with cast members.
Contestants have to follow three simple steps in order to win the grand prize. Step one: enter a valid email address. Step two: Tell H-D your story in 500 characters or less and be sure to include “Who from Sons of Anarchy would you most want to ride with and why? Where would you go and what would you do? Make your story count and you could win.” Step three: you’re reverted to H-D1 Bike Builder where you then customize a stock Street Bob with a series of online tools in order to build the coolest mock Street Bob you ca. When finished, you name your ride and submit it for a chance to win the grand prize. Don’t miss the season five premiere of Sons of Anarchy and log on to h-d.com/SOA for more details.
