GPR Stabilizer Installation Part 4
At this point, we are ready to add the GPR V4 stabilizer unit.

GPR Stabilizers is a very well established player in the industry. From dirt bikes and ATVs to sportbikes on the street, they’ve shown time and again that they can get the job done when it comes to taking the wobble out of your ride.
A few years back, GPR took their show to the Harley end of the spectrum. That’s when they decided to see if it could appeal to the H-D market by trying to help relieve the frustrations of high-speed wobbles on XL and Dyna models. The crew at GPR had to make a kit that could allow the GPRV4 to mount easily yet remain as close to OEM specs as possible. The end result was a kit that consists of a triple tree, damper, and frame clamp that is easy to install, made of top-quality materials, and works like no other steering stabilizer system.
In part 3 of this series, we left off with torquing down the riser bolts. Now it’s time to finish the job!
Install the top triple tree fork tube pinch bolts and neck stem pinch bolts, and do the fall-away adjustments according to the service manual for your specific model bike.

Insert the two bolts through the GPR V4, and apply a few drops of blue Loctite on the threads.

Place the GPR damper on the top triple tree and make sure the GPR’s tab fits into the frame mount’s slot.

Tighten the two top GPR damper bolts to 100 inch-pounds.

Next, tighten the damper tab holder and the frame clamp pinch bolt to 100 inch-pounds.

Reconnect the headlight plug.

Install the headlight bucket and eyebrow.

Install the fairing or windshield, and then go over your work to be sure you didn’t forget to tighten anything!

Done. The GPR steering stabilizer system is now ready. These systems have fully adjustable tension via an adjuster knob that is easily accessible while riding. Whether you are in the twisties or just hauling ass and need that little bit of extra stability, GPR can help eliminate those pesky death wobbles.
