How it all started
Legend Suspensions™ began in 1998 when Jesse Jurrens introduced the first Air Suspension system for The Harley-Davidson Softail Chassis. He has continued to develop improved suspensions ever since.
Jesse recognized the benefits an air spring could have on a motorcycle and had a vision of applying this technology to a Harley-Davidson Softail. In 1998, Gates™ Rubber Company, the leader in air spring technology, agreed to lend their Aramid fiber rubber air spring technology to the then fledgling South Dakota company... this was the birth of Legend Suspensions™.
The new Legend Suspension™ system revolutionized the Softail Chassis and changed the way riders felt about their motorcycles. Hot Bike magazine named Legend Suspension the "Most Innovative Product of 1998". In 2000 Legend created a new Softail suspension design and was again awarded, this time with the V-Twin Excellence Award for Best New Product. The compact design of the L3 and L9 fits flush with the bottom of the frame and offers the quality ride Legend made it's name on. The smallest details can be the most important, that's why Legend Suspensions™ puts so much effort into researching, testing and manufacturing the highest quality components available.
Today, Legend continues to be the only suspension systems featuring Gates (Vibracoustic) Rubber Company's Aramid fiber, rubber air spring technology along with deflective disc damping, providing the best ride available. Legend continues to use only the highest quality components and parts, made at their USA manufacturing facility... and all systems are tested thoroughly before being released to market.
Legend Suspensions™ now manufactures air and coil suspension systems for all Harley Davidson models. They also manufacture a line of air suspension for Offroad UTV’s. Legend systems are available for purchase in the US and world-wide. Legend Suspensions™ provides a smoother than stock ride with no bottoming out under any load condition, "on the go" adjustability, increased vehicle capability and versatility with a lifetime warranty. Offroad systems are in use with the US Military and countless fire and rescue operations. The company is known for high quality products, a lifetime warranty, as well as outstanding customer service.
Through a strong commitment to their loyal customers, Legend Suspensions™ is dedicated to producing the highest quality, best performing, and complete systems available.
Legend AERO air suspension systems set the high mark in ultimate ride quality and the redesigned exclusive Aramid Fiber air spring technology provides spring rate adjustability.
Legend REVO® coil suspensions provide superior ride quality, control and resistance to bottoming-out. Legend REVO’s unique spring rate offers the ability to soften pre-load, reducing ride height and maintaining a smooth ride.
New Products for 2015
Legend is proud to be releasing the Legend AXEO, a new line of front-end monotube cartridges for FLH touring models in 2015. The Legend AXEO will provide the same superior level of ride quality and performance that the Legend rear suspensions have provided for over a decade.
