FNG…Again! | John Zamora

Editor’s Notes

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Zamora and despite being in the industry for more than 10 years, I guess I’m the FNG (f’n new guy) again. You may or may not have heard my name before (and if you have, I hope it wasn’t that SOB Zamora!) I’ve been riding for more than 17 years. I’ve probably taken over half-a-million photos, ridden more than a hundred-thousand miles from Mexico to Malaysia, written more than a thousand stories, worked with more than 300 models, built bikes from the ground-up to basic bolt-ons, had my fair share of crashes and hospital visits, and lived to tell about it all.

I was the associate editor of Super Streetbike magazine before I moved over to Lowrider Girls magazine. I recently helped launch a new magazine called Revolucion that showcased the Hispanic lifestyle on two wheels and it was as if all my professional worlds collided all at once. With the launch of that magazine it reconfirmed to me that there are two types of people in this world, bikers and those that want to be bikers. You either get it or you don’t. I get it and I love to talk about it and show you all how it’s going down in my brain via the written word and through the camera lens.

I’m excited to take on the role as editor of Hot Bike and see where this road takes me. For me it’s never about the destination, but how you get there that matters the most. So stay tuned for lots more bikes, booze, babes, and general debauchery that separates us two-wheeled brothers and sisters from the rest of the caged society we live in.
