CRKT And Ruger’s RTD Folding Knife
The Columbia River Knife and Tool (CRKT) company is always at the forefront of delivering great new blades. Hence we had to check out the latest CRKT and Ruger collaboration, the RTD. Inspired by Ruger’s 10/22 Takedown rifle, the RTD is a folding knife with a textured, glass-reinforced nylon handle with clip and locking liner. The RTD measures 8.5 inches overall, with a 3.67-inch blade length and overall weight of 3.9 ounces. One of the coolest features of the RTD is the fact that it can be taken apart for cleaning and maintenance.
The all-black folding knife was designed by Matthew Lerch and features Ken Onion’s Field Strip technology to ensure the everyday-carry knife can be quickly and easily cleaned and serviced without the use of a single tool. A small flipper provides a quick deployment for when you’ve got all sorts of tasks waiting for your attention. The RTD also features a locking liner so you never have to second guess your knife’s performance. When the knife is in an open and locked position, the liner sets up against the tang of the blade to prevent it from closing. Push the lock bar back toward the side of the handle to disengage.
