It’s hard to find the time to put a bike together for us at the shop. I finally got one together that I was really happy with. Then the past winter at a bike show, after a few beers, I thought I would put a for sale sign on my bike just to see what would happen. By the end of the day it was sold.
It didn’t sink into my head until in the next morning that it was February and Spring was just around the corner. So I was in a mad dash to get another bike together. I went to our local Harley-Davidson dealership, Gail’s Harley-Davidson, and picked up a 2010 Police Road King. We took it straight to the shop and cut the neck, stripped the Road King parts off

, built a fairing mount and set it up for a Road Glide fairing.
The stock 103-inch came apart and the heads, cylinders and cases went to Larson Machine for Stage 3 headwork and 4-1/8-inch bore cases. After they came back, Bud at Detray Plating polished the drivetrain and Industrial Coatings coated all the chrome parts black.
We got it together by Spring and the first thing I heard was “When are you selling this one?” I am going to try my hardest to old onto it until fall.
