It's not only new bike-model season, it's also new gear season, period, and most of the established moto gear manufacturers have been dropping their 2019 lines this month. Somehow we knew iconic Bell Helmets would be one of the big industry names to be front and center in the new product mix, and with the recent announcement of its 2019 helmet lineup, Bell has not disappointed. The new line includes one lid that especially piqued our interest: the all-new Eliminator helmet. Bell also debuted its new proprietary ProVision shield, and says it is continuing to implement its Flex and MIPS head protection for the rest of the 2019 lineup.

But back to the Eliminator, which struck us right away with its brawny, aggressive lines. Bell says the Eliminator was designed to fit a wide range of riders, from V-twin to modern streetfighter enthusiasts, and it shows. The tough-as-nails design, according to Bell, calls out the company’s historic roots as a pioneer of automotive helmets, sporting a racing-inspired attitude and blending that with modern industry-leading safety technologies. It’ll slot into the company’s “2019 Culture Lineup,” which also includes the Bullitt and Moto-3 helmets.

The DOT- and ECE-rated helmet also includes Bell’s all-new ProVision shield, which features proprietary dual-pane antifog technology, is ECE-certified, and is designed for everything from commuting to full-on competition. You can get the shield in eight tint options.

You get a choice of eight color options and, yes, a five-year warranty (that comes standard though).

The Eliminator will come in either composite or carbon-fiber shells, and Bell says it includes a unique ventilation design that “adds style and functional advantages over its competition.” We’re not entirely sure what that means, but we’ll let you know as soon as we get our hands on one.

That won’t be until December, however, when the lid will become available in a variety of colorway options in select retailers and online at

Eliminator will retail for $399.95–$599.95 (depending on options) and comes standard with the ProVision antifog shield with Class 1 optics, recessed EPS speaker pockets, Bell’s Magnafusion strap keeper, a removable/washable antibacterial liner, and a five-year warranty. An extra-dark smoke shield is included with the carbon-fiber model.
