Tech We aren't big fans of running windshields with apehangers, but we wanted something different to adorn the front of our '97 Road King. After we first laid eyes on the Glide-Pro Cafe fairing for Road Kings and saw its curves and smoked windshield, we were in love. There will also be fairings for nacelle-equipped Softails by the time this issue hits newsstands. The fairing is made from hand-laid, vacuum-bagged fiberglass, and attaches to the bike with polished, stainless steel brackets. The fairings are available ready for paint for $429 (which is what we got) or painted to match stock H-D paint colors for $509. We decided that the ready for paint flat black would do the trick. The installation was easy because the fairing simply attaches to the stock windshield grommets. No cutting, welding, or bending was needed. The fairing also comes off just as easily, so you can run with or without it at a moment's notice. 01. This Fairing comes complete with everything needed to install it to your bike.01.
