The new Silencer grip fit in between the switch housing with ease, but before Todd tightened the housing he installed the throttle/idle cables onto the new grip and finished by properly adjusting them. For the left-side grip, he simply unscrewed the switch housing bolts, slid the new grip in place, and tightened the switch housing back up.

    18. Now on to Satin Chrome! To get the covers off on the pipe side, Todd removed the exhaust system. Then he simply removed the stock grey powdercoated trans cover, removing the clutch cable/ball and ramp assembly, and retaining rings, and then he installed them into the Satin Chrome cover and tightened it to the trans.

    21. No more grasshopper! Not that the mid controls are bad, but we like forwards on certain models better, this being one of them. As you can see, our legs are now able to stretch out a bit more, adding more comfort to those longer hauls. And we feel the Satin Chrome covers added a nice contrast to the overall look of the bike.
