I'm a 57 year old woman with a 2008 105th Harley Sportster. I would like to change the manual clutch to an automatic. I have seen this on a white custom Harley owned by another woman in a Harley Store for sale. I love my 105th and would like to know how to do this; where to do this and how much would it cost. My left hand is starting to have problems with the clutch :(

I have a 2004 Softail standard and I am in the process of upgrading stock metal parts for chrome ones. So far they have been minor upgrades like a chrome voltage regulator cover, derby cap, etc. My question is I would now like to get chrome for the outer primary, cam cover etc. Would I be better off paying the high price for original harley parts or get parts from JP cycle instead? Or taking the original parts I already have on the bike to a local chrome shop? :confused:

I have a 2003 FLSTFI and recently it began to make what sounds like tappet noise on deceleration. The noise only occurs when the engine is warm and when the engine is decelerating down through 2500rpm. The noise does not happen when accelerating. On cool mornings I don't notice the noise and when the ambient temperature rises the noise begins. The engine is stock except for the screamin eagle air filter kit and a vance and hines 2into1 pro pipe. The bike only has 19480 miles on it. Any Suggestions? Thanks

Hey everyone, nice to be here. I just wanted to put out the word that I've picked up where STD left off and have come out with the best shovel and pan heads on the market. I'd be happy to answer any questions or provide any imformation you'd like to know. INTRODUCING... SORENSEN PERFORMANCE?S BILLET HEADS FOR SHOVEL HEAD ENGINES Available in 3.5, 3 5/8, 3 13/16 configuration. Everything that you thought was bad about shovels you can forget. Easily run up to 11.1 compression on pump gas when properly installed. Everything else pales in comparison. Depending upon how they are set up they can easily flow up to 275cfm@28" at .650 lift with a 2.02 valve. Valves are Av&v intakes and Ferra exhaust small stem valves with Evo Bronze Av&v guides. These heads have an extremely high velocity small fast moving port. They will enjoy cams with 8 to 10 degrees overlap and high lift. We are currently dyno testing and working on specific cam profiles. They have additional fin area around the entire head unlike the competitions and run 50f cooler! We have included a picture comparing our heads to the competitions cast heads you can clearly see how much additional fin area has been added and are drilled for decompressors for easier starting. Heads are CNC ported! The heads come complete with 2.02 x 1.710 valves, .650 lift Manley spring pack and titanium retainers, 1.780 raised port floor intake opening. The head is also set up that you can build an evo clamp style intake for it and toss the rubber bands! The heads also feature a unique fast burn dual quench chamber and are so efficient when properly set up the engine will enjoy a 14.1 air/fuel ratio. Valve angles have been moved to allow huge TDC lift. Bolting these heads onto a 8.1 piston set up will increase your compression from .5 to 1 point of compression depending upon size of engine and stroke. Every set of heads are hand blended before being sent out. Initial testing has already seen 110hp on a 93" engine on pump gas. Also available shovelhead conversion lifter blocks, hi flow backing plates, billet evo lifter blocks, billet shovel rockers, billet evo rockers, coming soon billet big bore cylinders and billet pan heads! I purchased a pair of Fat Daddy wheels from South Main Customs in Kannapolis N.C..They also installed them.When cleaning the bike I noticed the rear wheel is about a half inch to the right. The bike is a 1995 Heritage Softtail.The wheel is straight just off center.I took the bike back to SMC and they said they couldn't fix it. The pully is mounted directly to the hub and can't go any farther right.The brake assembly can be shimmed over but the pully must go right so the wheel can move left.I like the wheels but would like this fixed next time I replace the rear tire. Any ideas or sugestions would be appreciated. Thanks: Dennis

I have a 87 FXLR with a 93" S&S motor,crane hi 4 ignition.Over the last few weeks it has become increasingly harder to start and finally fried the battery.A tech at the HD dealership says I need a new starter solenoid.I asked him about a spyke starter and he says not worth the money that the Evo starter is fine.Any opinions?

Does anybody know of a cheap place to stay in Daytona for Biketoberfest 2009? We did that 50% off deal with daytona-deals.com last March but they won't let us do it again for another year. Have been searching the internet for answers on the wide tire riding characterisitics. I am looking into buying a bike with a 330 installed and knowing that is is not a switch back racer, is it still good enough to travel 400 miles, or run on the LA freeways during the week.
