One thing that usually doesn't sit well with me is being cold. I also don't like sweating inside my leathers when it warms up either, so I'm always on the lookout for a good riding jacket. That's why I usually choose something suitable for all of the elements.
Harley's Reflective Perforated Leather Jacket ($425) satisfies all requisites and features a simple, sleek design that's fully functional because of its perforated sleeves and breast for warmer months, and the removable windproof, water-resistant nylon liner for when the temps drop. The liner removes/installs easy but the jacket fits a bit snug when it's in use. It also can be snug in the neck when snapping the mandarin collar together, which I usually leave unsnapped. The liner doesn't seem to affect the pre-curved sleeves with snap-tab cuffs or two-way zippered cuff vents though.
For storage, the jacket features two front pockets that are very roomy for storing cigs, lighters, pens, wallets, etc.; two inside pockets for storing similar items; a pocket for your MP3 player, which fits my iPod and IMC Camos Bluetooth adapter easily; and lastly it comes with a cell-phone pocket, which I never use. Too many pockets are confusing.
Another cool feature is the 3M Scotchlite Reflective material located dominantly on the breast and back inside the Harley-Davidson logos. There's also a reflective stripe starting from the collar all the way down each sleeve. The material is highly visible when lit and since I do a lot of night riding I feel an added level of security, especially on the SoCal freeways.
