Mike Labriola from Illinois sent in these pics of what his ’00 Heritage Springer used to look like and what it looks like now. Mike’s father was in WWII and passed away 30 years ago this year, so he decided to do a tribute to him. Mike’s father passed when Mike was 19 years old and he never talked to him about his experiences in the war. But at the age of 49, and in part due to his brother who wrote about their dad’s travels in Europe, they found out many cool things, from their father landing in Normandy to being at the Battle of the Bulge. Their father ended up taking part in five major battles and campaigns. They also learned he served under General Patton in the 3rd Army. Their dad was in the U.S. Army’s 5th infantry division, Signal Company, and he was a radioman; a true American hero. This bike is dedicated to him. There are some things not shown in these pictures to commemorate his father, such as an image of the man, his Tech 4 Sergeant stripes, and induction dates around the license plate.
Phillip Simeonidis, from our neighbors to the north, was very proud to show us his ’06 Street Glide, or should we say Strip Glide? After installing a Pro Charger Supercharger on his bagger, Phillip took it to the local drag strip where he clocked in a 12.28-second run at 99.92 mph with 8 pounds of boost. Phillip says his bike puts out 132 hp and 110 lb-ft of torque. Of course his bike isn’t all go, it has some show to it as well with chrome RC Components wheels, chrome bars and controls, Vance & Hines Dual Ovals exhaust, and a 250-watt Bazooka amp with matching 250-watt speakers.
One Sporty Sportster
Hey HOT BIKE, my name is David Brenz II from Byron, Illinois, and this is my ’00 Harley-Davidson 883 custom Sportster. The motor was 883cc and has now been bored out to a 1,230cc, producing 100 hp at the wheel. The motor and bike have been custom painted and lots of chrome has been added, along with custom wheels, giving it a great look. Drag bars and drag pipes have been added for a sportier look. Who says a Sporty can’t look this good?
Hey guys, here is a picture of my ’07 Street Glide. I went with a Street Glide as I did everything I could imagine to my Road King. My wife was getting tired of me buying new bikes, riding them for a few months, then stripping them down, rebuilding them, and selling them when done. My SG has black and cobalt blue smoke flames with hidden skulls throughout. I basically stripped it to the frame and motor and sent every original part out to California for chrome. And of course here in Ohio, they are still not sure of the 18-inch Big Daddy Apes. The motor is basic with only a Big Sucker breather kit, Power Commander, and Rinehart exhaust. I also dropped it (1 1/2 inches up front and 2 inches in the rear). The plates read “GUNZ” as I am a retired Marine Gunny Sergeant.
