Peace Offering
John Magers of Shelby, Ohio, purchased this Peace Officer's Edition Softail in 2005. Motor wise it has .258 Screamin' Eagle cams, a stage one air cleaner, Samson dual exhaust, Harley custom paint, H-D Revolver wheels with matching pulley, and a H-D Sundowner seat. It also includes a quick-release saddlebag kit, a Marine Corps derby cover, and a splash of chrome. John has ridden to Washington DC, York, Pennsylvania, the Smokey Mountains, and West Virginia on this bike and loved every minute of it.
Fat Heritage
Bob Iannelli from Denver, Pennsylvania, emailed us some photos of his '97 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic FLSTC outfitted with a set of '00 H-D Fatboy 16-inch wheels and tires. The front fender is a Sumax fiberglass unit with the rear being from JP Cycles. The engine was pepped up with an S&S carb and Primo 3-inch beltdrive. Bob did 99 percent of the work himself but had to turn to professionals for the finishing touches and paintwork.
No Stocker
Michael Creighton from Vacaville, California, bought this bike in 2006, and it took him approximately two years to build it the way he wanted by adding hard bags, big apes, and a killer set of wheels. Most of the work was done in his garage with a little help from Pacific Coast Customs who bumped up the engine to 95 inches with 105 hp and Vivid Dragon who did the paint.
