Not everyone likes the flipped Flanders handlebars, but when you see Troy's heavily inked, muscle bound physique aboard Mind Bender, you are left without a doubt that they look 100 percent spot on. It is obvious that Jimmy is a passionate, experienced professional bike builder, you will notice intricate detail, design ideas that flow front to back, and a finished custom motorcycle that fits its owner like a $4,000 bespoke tailored Italian suit.
You might wonder how on earth this tarmac muncher gets hauled to a stop, as it is blatantly obvious that there is no front brake. Well, I'm glad to report that the rear six-pot caliper is more than up to the task, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg either. Jimmy is a cost conscious, forward thinking kind of bike builder, so he elected to use a high performance functioning Honda CBR six-pot rear caliper, that gives the rider great fade free stopping.
Check out the PPG candy metal flake paintwork, and then note how it has been used to tie the whole bike together from the shell of the headlight, through the oil tank to the tip of the rear fender where you will find a shot glass that has been pressed into service as an innovative taillight. Just like the style of the bike, the paint scheme was all Troy's idea too, he instructed painter Steve-O to use candy yellow and green over rainbow, then gave strict information regarding the look of the graphics. The idea being, to produce a paint scheme, that would dance in sunlight, even when the bike was parked. Without doubt, Steve-O has done a stellar job. Even without its awesome paintwork, Mind Bender would still be a cool looking respectable ride, and one hell of a street sleeper, but now it is capable of taking the world by storm. It is wonderful to find a flashy Sportster that really puts the word 'sport' back into focus.
