This bike you see here is Lynn Burleson's second build, but he was quick to tell us he couldn't have done it without the help of all his bros at PT Customs, in Penrose, Colorado, who put their hearts and souls into his made over '96 Dyna Low Rider. "It was a lot of hard work, by that I mean there were many different measurements compared to a Softail," Lynn said. The bike was completely torn down and then the frame was stretched 2 inches and the neck was pushed out from its stock 32 degrees to 37 degrees. A Midwest Fat Bastard frontend with 36-inch fork legs was mounted up front while out back the stock shocks were ditched for a set of 11-inch Progressive Suspension springs

To help squeeze the 200mm...

To help squeeze the 200mm rear tire between the stock swingarm, a small Katana 500 brake caliper was used.
On the left side a 25 tooth...
On the left side a 25 tooth front pulley and 68-tooth Sporster rear pulley were used.
With a little machining and elbow grease, Lynn and his friends were able to stuff a 200mm rear tire between the stock swingarm. As for the sheetmetal, a West Coast Choppers rear fender was trimmed up with an accent point and a Midwest front fender was cut to match. As for the gas tank, well, that's a sentimental part of the build. The tank belonged to a good friend, Gary Aho, who was killed in an accident in 2008. Lynn and his buds thought the tank fit with the bike perfectly and would be a great tribute to an old friend. With the help of all his friends like Bessemer Customs, Smitty, Ive, Eric, Clay, and Ryan's excellent work with the paint gun, Lynn's once "stock" Low Rider was turned into a raked Colorado canyon carver in about four months.

Bessemer Customs machined out all the rivets in the front Fat Boy wheel, and then gave it a thick coat of black powdercoat.
