Bruce Waldron, Jr., from Frederick, Maryland, sent in photos of his '06 Springer Softail. In March of 2007, Bruce got hit by a school bus while riding his pride and joy. It took 23 surgeries and 13 months to walk again. During this time he put the Harley back together himself as mental rehab and as a goal to ride again!
Mickey Collette from upstate New York bought this '03 Harley-Davidson Sportster in 2003 and rode it stock for two years. He then stripped it down, built a swingarm to fit a 240 tire, incorporated hidden fender struts, and added a Fat Bob tank, as well as a Wide Glide frontend. To top it off his pals at Outrageous Paint did the blood red paint and custom graphics.
Them Darn Kids
Mark Wescott emailed us a photo of his bike that was built by his son, Mike, and his partner, Brandon, in a small shop in Smyrna, Delaware, by the name of Treadz-n-Threadz. It is a rigid frame with a 113ci Ultima motor and an Ultima six-speed tranny. The rear fender supports and the license plate frame were custom-made. The boys unveiled it to him the weekend of Leesburg Bikefest where it won Third Place! Nice work for a couple of crazy kids.
